Britpop Noise Burst — Clean Verse & Punkifier Chorus
Graham Coxon’s late-1990s distortion palette included Pro Co Rat pedals and the DOD FX76 Punkifier, with the Punkifier widely linked to the studio’s abrasive “Song 2” burst. The verse is comparatively small and clean before the chorus expands into layered, deliberately ragged distortion. Exact session guitar, amp and knob positions were not fully documented, so settings are approximated from Coxon’s era rig.
