Sheer Heart Attack Bell Orchestra — Three-Part Solo
Brian May constructed the solo as three independent guitar voices that enter like a peal of bells, with stereo panning enhancing the final section. His orchestral recording sound combined the Red Special and treble booster with Vox AC30 and Deacy-amp textures; the second half of the solo is documented on the neck pickup. Exact controls were not published, so settings are approximated from the documented rig. Signal Chain
Notes
Record the three harmony voices separately and let notes overlap so each new line creates a changing chord. Keep the Deacy component narrow and singing rather than fizzy.
