The album was recorded with Albert Hammond Jr. and Nick Valensi playing through separate Fender DeVille amplifiers in the same small room, each captured with a simple microphone chain and no corrective EQ. The Stratocaster and Epiphone Riviera assignments reflect their established debut-era instruments, while the settings are approximated because no song-specific knob sheet survives.
