Razors Edge Wire & Honk — Picking Intro and Exact Malcolm Rhythm
Guitar World publishes Malcolm Young’s original Gretsch, Marshall Super Bass and cabinet settings, including extremely low bass and no effects. Angus’s single-note introduction is recreated with his SG and a brighter Marshall setup from the same no-pedal tradition, but its exact controls were not documented. Notes
The intro is picked on the recording, even though hammer-ons and pull-offs are a common shortcut. Malcolm’s bass control should be extremely low so the rhythm guitar produces clang and midrange punch without crowding the rhythm section.
