Unlimited Love Feedback Return — Clean Verse & Four-Cab Solo
Frusciante returned to his 1962 Stratocaster and Marshall Major/Silver Jubilee stacks, using predominantly the neck pickup for the album’s core sound. He recorded the solo at extreme volume through all four Marshall cabinets, moving around the room to find different feedback notes, and applied a subtle stereo modular treatment to its final four bars; settings are approximated from his detailed account. Notes
Use the neck pickup for a round clean foundation and let the verse decorations come from touch and vibrato. For the solo, controlled physical feedback is more important than adding another distortion pedal.
