Green Day
Armstrong used a Les Paul Junior for the primary rhythm, a Les Paul Standard for the double-tracked solo, and a tweed Fender Tremolux for the deliberately smaller opening sound. The album’s heavy tones came from the extra-gain-stage Idiot Amp and a Dookie-modded Park 75; numerical settings are approximated from that documented chain.
