Morello uses a clean Fender amp with a light overdrive for the melodic leads. Much more subtle than his RATM work.

Tom Morello retained his familiar Marshall-and-Peavey core while using a more spacious, chord-based palette for Audioslave. The solo depends on a DigiTech Whammy-style pitch sweep and Morello’s vibrato-equipped guitar; exact song-specific amp controls were not published, so settings are approximated from his documented rig.
